turned cherry wood bowl

Philadelphia Oval Stool — Top View

This exquisite, crewel embroidery was executed by my late mother. In her later years she turned to needlework quite seriously. She taught needle work at the Virginia Museum of Art in Richmond, Virginia for a number of years and then continued with private students in her home until shortly before her death in 2003. Her work, hopefully, will inspire future crafters. Her eye for color is apparent in this piece.
